Exhibit and Photography Workshops

Estamos Aquí (We Are Here) is a curated black-and-white photography exhibit in which Latino immigrants document their everyday lives and empowers them to share their experiences in the Saratoga region with the community.

Photographers are participants in Saratoga County EOC’s Latino Community Advocacy Program (LCAP) and take part in LCAP’s summer photography workshop series. This workshop is an extension of the work they do every day with LCAP to build strong community ties and healthy, thriving families by taking English classes and working with LCAP advocates to enroll their children in school, file taxes, sign up for bank accounts or go to doctor’s appointments.

Their photos are reviewed by a jury and released each August during Visión: a look at life behind the scenes.

The 2020 course is being held virtually with past exhibit participants who are documenting their experiences during COVID-19.

Latino Community Advocacy Program (LCAP)
For over a decade, Saratoga County EOC has been supporting the unique needs of the Spanish-speaking immigrant population in the Saratoga region. Through LCAP, we are able to offer translation, interpreting and advocacy services, access to medical care and legal services, English as a Second Language classes, and other educational programs and services designed to assist families, address their basic needs and extend the EOC’s mission of promoting economic self-sufficiency. Since the program’s inception, thousands of individuals and families have benefited from EOC’s services.
